EMPOWER LIFE COACHING

About Me.
Susan Tannenbaum is a seasoned wellness professional and life coach. Earning her Masters in Clinical Social Work from Bryn Mawr College in 1982, she has dedicated her life to helping those around her achieve their full potential.
A native of Bucks County for over 35 years, Susan is a proud mother of 3 wonderful children and a grandmother to identical twin girls. She has always supported her community and has built Empower Life Coaching to enhance the community she holds so dear.
Susan is a natural people person, an incredible listener, and someone with a proud bias for action to address whatever in life is making you feel stuck or off-balance. She has learned that often, regardless of your assets and character, it becomes difficult to use those strengths on a daily basis when you are plagued with irrational and intrusive thoughts that undermine your self-image and confidence.
Empower Life Coaching is not where you'll find your typical therapy session. Empower Life Coaching is a place where you can be honest, vulnerable and seek change. You'll find a professional who helps identify solutions and tactics to get unstuck, to feel more joy, and to live your very best life.

Education
1982
Masters, Clinical Social Work
Bryn Mawr College
Susan was a standout student in her Masters program, earning top grades throughout her studies. Her academic achievements allowed her to pursue two competitive internships. The first, an in-patient psychiatric hospital, where she worked directly with patients who suffered from conditions including Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, and Major Depressive Disorder. Her second internship, at an outpatient mental health center, allowed her to work with individuals, couples, and families.
1980
BA, Psychology
Muhlenberg College
Susan's psychology program inspired a focus on child and adolescent psychological expertise. She graduated Cum Laude and with honors. While balancing her studies during Junior and Senior years, Susan worked at Allentown State Hospital with an adolescent patient diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and worked with Children and Youth Services as an active case worker. She also partnered with local renowned psychologists to augment her academic and professional pursuits.
